Living here

There are 2 TV lounges with DStv, a Common Room with a piano, a dining room with a piano, Coffee Bar, Computer Room with Internet access and an extensive garden.

The Residence has single and double bedrooms, which are furnished simply. Students provide their own bedding. The rooms are fitted with standard heating panels and bookshelves.

The verandah has a beautiful view of Lion's Head. It has a dart board as well as a table tennis table and comfortable chairs to provide a place of social activity for the students.

TV Rooms: There are two TVs, one on the ground floor with a video machine and one in the basement with a DVD player. Students can enjoy DStv, M-Net, SABC and e.tv.

Spes is known for its home cooking, provided by two experienced cooks in the kitchen. No special diets are catered for, including vegetarian, unless a doctor's certificate has been provided. There are five domestic staff for the house.

An application for parking for cars, has been submitted to the Cape Town City Council.
